Microwave photonics is a field that focuses on combining the microwave and photonics worlds for applications such as communication, RADARs, sensors and instrumentation.
The main objective of our research is to overcome the limitations of microwave systems with the help of photonics
Our research includes:
- Radio-over-fiber
- Photonic generation and processing of microwave signals
- Microwave and optical communication
- Mode-locked lasers
- LIDAR and optical sensors
The Research Laboratory is led by Dr. İbrahim T. Özdür, the Associate Professor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the TOBB University of Economics and Technology, Ankara, Turkey. Dr. Özdür was awarded the TÜBA Outstanding Young Scientist Award (GEBİP) in 2018. He has published more than 80 articles in journals / conference proceedings and has been awarded 5 U.S. Patents.
